Party FAQ

Whether you’re planning or attending a party at Beachside Social, here are some useful things to know in advance.

    • Parking is the first thing that comes to mind when heading to the Oceanfront. We have lots of options within walking distance, which you’ll find detailed on our Find Us page

    • Pro tip: share the Find Us link in your party invitation and your guests will be instantly relieved !

    • You can find our hours on google maps, yelp, or at the bottom of every page on our website (try it with this one, scroll all the way to the bottom!)

    • If you’re planning a party of 20+ guests for a time outside of our regular business hours, submit a request! We can be pretty flexible

    • Shuffleboard courts rent for $35/hour/court and bocce ball rents for $15/hour/court

    • The cost of a party of 20 or more is made up of 3 parts: rental (courts, half/full rental), food, and beverage

    • You’ll see a snapshot of food and rental pricing based on your party size on the second slide here. Beverage options are on the fourth slide

    • Once you submit the form on our website and make a food and beverage selection, we’ll be able to send you a no-strings-attached proposal so you get an idea of the full cost

    • Once you e-sign the proposal we sent you and you have securely added your card on file, your reservation is complete

    • We’ll send you an e-mail confirmation when you’ve completed the process

    • Yes, you can use the same card you put on file or a different one

    • An additional fee applies if the card you intend to use is not present at the event

    • If paying by check, the check must be received at least 7 days prior to your event

    • When you rent shuffleboard courts, your reservation also includes a charming cabana for each court, as well as a designated buffet-style food service area for parties of 20 or more with a food package

    • When you rent half of the venue, your reservation includes 3 shuffleboard courts, as well as all the seating around the courts and the food service area

    • One of our Event Coordinators will be in touch with next steps no later than 48 hours

    • If it’s 48 hours later and you haven’t heard from us, first check your spam folder for an e-mail from a Beachside Social mailbox. If it’s not there, contact us at info@beachsidesocialvb.com - there might be a typo in the contact e-mail provided

    • We will typically reserve one court for 8-15 people, 2 courts for 16-40 people and 3 courts for up to 75 people

    • For larger groups, we reserve half of the venue (up to 150 people) or the entire venue (up to 400 people)

    • Shuffleboard is generally played by 4 people at a time and a game takes about 15 minutes

    • Once the contract is signed, the headcount can only be lowered by up to 10%, with at least 48 hour notice

    • We recommend booking for the lowest number of guests you’re confident will attend

    • There is no maximum guest limit, so you can add guests at any time!

    • Any additional guests will be added to your headcount prior to or at the time of your event, and any minimum spend based on headcount will be adjusted accordingly

    • Yes, all guests, regardless of age, will be included in your headcount

    • Not to worry, mocktails, dessert and any additional food beyond the contracted amount will count towards minimum spend, not just alcoholic beverages

    • Our food packages are a subset of our regular food menu, made up of our most popular items. You are welcome to change them or start a food package from scratch

    • The numbers in parentheses are the numbers of orders of each item included in the package

    • The 10% discount only applies to each food package as is

    • We do NOT permit any outside food, except for cakes and other celebratory desserts

    • 3rd party catering is available for full venue rentals

    • Yes, you are welcome to bring your own dessert. While we cannot cut your cake, you can borrow one of our knives

    • If you’re renting the entire place, sure!

    • If you are sharing the space to the public, we cannot accommodate either

    • Yes! You are welcome to decorate your cabana, bring balloons or other fun enhancing artifacts

    • However, please don’t attach anything to walls

    • Yes, we are fully accessible. We have an elevator, and end courts are wheelchair accessible

    • We require a 7 day cancellation notice if you reserved one court

    • Once a contract is signed, a reservation for 2 or more courts cannot be cancelled without a fee

    • Cancellations are subject to a fee covering the entire rental cost and 50% of the contracted food and beverage spend
