We are your friendly oceanfront games bar, featuring refreshing cocktails, delicious food and casual chic vibes! We are also Virginia’s first (and only) shuffleboard club, sporting 6 regulation size floor shuffleboard courts.

Here’s what’s useful to know before planning your outing at Beachside Social:

    • You can find our hours on google maps, yelp, or at the bottom of every page on our website (try it with this one, scroll all the way to the bottom!)

    • Parking at the Oceanfront can be daunting in the summer season but there is plenty of parking available within walking distance. We have a small lot that we share with other businesses and there are 3 nearby garages, including one right behind our building on 27th street! You’ll find all parking options detailed on our Find Us page

    • Walk ins are always welcome! Just check our social media in advance in case we are hosting a private event

    • If you have a group of 8 or more, you can reserve a court in advance here (sorry, no same day reservations!)

    • You can only reserve shuffleboard courts or the bocce ball court

    • Your shuffleboard court(s) will each have a charming cabana that seats 4 to 5 guests

    • If you’re a group of 20 or more with a food package, we will also reserve an area for the food (lots more info about parties of 20 or more & food packages here!)

    • Walk ins are always encouraged! Whether you’re coming in to shuffle or just want a chic place to hang out, come right in! There is lots of different types of first-come, first-serve seating all around and we have a max capacity of 400 people. So bring friends! Or a date!

    • Walk in courts are rented on a first-come, first-serve basis. If there’s a wait, we limit play to one hour per party to get as many people shuffling as possible. Just grab a buzzer and head over to the bar to make the wait more enjoyable

    • Shuffleboard courts rent for $35/hour/court and bocce ball rents for $15/hour/court

    • Court rental pricing is the same, whether you’re reserving or walking in, although there are perks to being spontaneous (see below!)

    • Foosball, table shuffleboard, and all our 50+ board games are FREE to play

    • Parties of 5 or more are subject to 20% gratuity

    • Shuffleboard is generally played 2 on 2 (4 players at a time), and a game takes about 15 minutes. You can find the rules here

    • Your server will give you a quick 1–2-minute lesson on how to play at the start of your court time and you can ask questions any time

    • If you’re shuffling, you can order food and drinks from your server

    • If you’re hanging out on the side of the courts, just order at the bar and we’ll bring the food to you

    • We do NOT permit any outside food and drinks, except for store-bought cakes

    • Beachside Social is family friendly regardless of the time of day

    • Typically, kids who are 10 or older will be able to properly play the game and get into the competitive spirit with enough grownup encouragement

    • While we love to see some classic family matchups, we do not allow for unattended minors on the courts; if equipment is misused, it will be put away for everyone’s safety

    •  “9 after 9” – shuffleboard rental is $9/hour after 9PM on Fridays and Saturdays for walk-ins

    • “Sunday funday” – shuffleboard rental is 50% off on Sundays for walk-ins

    • Yes, we are fully accessible. We have an elevator, and end courts are wheelchair accessible

    • Unfortunately, no. The Health Department does not allow us to admit dogs, as much as we may love them!

    • No special shoes are required to play

    • Although we’re right across from the beach, all guests must wear shoes and cover up bathing suits to be admitted
